The ragdoll mechanism affects the tempo as well. When both archers are slowly drawing their bows, the battle is usually calm and collected. But then, out of nowhere, there are mad dashes to get back on your feet before your opponent shoots again.

Players remain engaged and attentive due to these changes in tempo ragdoll archers. When one fighter loses their footing, what starts off as a calculated exchange of arrows can quickly devolve into mayhem. It takes time for an archer to get back on their feet after a fall; in the meanwhile, they might stutter, twist, or even drag themselves upright—right when their opponent is trying to land the killing blow. There would be significantly more tension in a skill-based, deterministic archery system than there would be in this one due to the inherent ambiguity in each move.
