Abstract


 
In the course of starting your business, presenting an idea to venture capitalists is one of the essential steps for entrepreneurs.  Over 3 session, Samurai Incubate call Darren Menabney, working as a pitch coach with startups in Tokyo. The goal of this event is to understand how to craft and deliver the Perfect Pitch and to deal with tough question from venture capitalists. 
This time is third session of the event, " How to prepare, have confidence and deal with tough Questions."

Darren Menabney

 

Darren Menabney is a business school lecturer, noted guest speaker, global HR specialist, and a passionate advocate for making everyone a better communicator. He is a successful presenter and public speaker, inspiring others through through speaking engagements, his TEDx talk, and his work as a pitch coach with startups in Tokyo. His personal mission is to connect people to people, to connect people to ideas, and so create value for everyone. 

 

Darren is part-time faculty at GLOBIS University in Tokyo, where he teaches the Business Presentation course and helps guide MBA students to become better business communicators, and so become more confident and inspiring leaders. At Ricoh Company Limited, he leads and manages global HR projects aimed at boosting global employee engagement, spreading corporate culture, and leadership development. 

 

Prior to coming to Japan in 2011, Darren worked for over 20 years in Toronto for the Canadian government. He worked closely with the startup and technology ecosystem in Canada, building research partnerships through his business development and public outreach roles at the Departments of Revenue and National Defence.
